Fall weekends make me happy! :)

So this past weekend we hung out with my sister and her family mostly. I love spending time with her and our kids have grown up together so they are really close. On Friday I watched her girls because their was no school for teacher in service day. She ended up staying for dinner and we had a fire complete with s'mores! I LOVE me some s'mores :) It was so nice to have them over to hang out and us adults actually got to sit around the fire and have adult conversations, seriously!! Yay, that never happens. The kids are all getting older now and they can play (mostly) without us. Now, that's not to say an argument or two (five) happens from time to time but hey, I'll take it! haha....We decided that we needed a date night so we planned on our little cousin coming over the next night to watch all the kids while we went out to dinner! :) I called and made the arrangements for the next night and our cousins decided to come along too. Kristy and Paul are an absolute blast to be around and they sure made our night even better. We decided on eating at the new restaurant around here called Logan's and then we went and saw the movie Carrie. The dinner was so good! The movie, however, eh. It just didn't do it for me. Tommy and I were laughing at most of the parts but it was still a great time. :) My sister and her hubby didn't think it was too bad and neither did Kristy or Paul. They thought it could've been better but not horrible. Guess scary movies just aren't our thing. I am a pretty big scaredy cat so I thought I would be freaked out, nope! :) I'm good. I guess, really, I should be happy about that though! Ha!
On Sunday we decided to head out to Kings Island :) It was so pretty out and the weather was perfect. It was a little chilly at first but warmed right up before we knew it. Brie loves that she is tall enough for the Snoopy Surfer now and that was the first thing she got on with her Daddy. Noah is still too little so I took him over to ride the small cars and go on the car merry go round. Makayla and Shaun rode with Tommy and Brie. Poor little Avery was just barely under the line and wasn't able to ride with them. She is just 6 weeks 6 days older than Brie but since she is my sister's baby she seems so much younger! She weighs less than Noah!! That pretty little thing is just so tiny! :) I love giving my sister a hard time because she still likes to carry Avery around and baby her a bit but I get it. Noah gets babied waaayyy more than Brie and they are only a year and a half apart. Brie just seems so much older than him. She's my big girl and I expect more from her, which I totally know is dumb! haha...I don't know why it works out that way but it does! So anyway, Lindsay took Ave on over to the roller coaster, which Noah is once again too little for so we kind of split up while the Dads took the older siblings on their ride. Poor Noah always gets left out! haha...he doesn't notice yet though :) We headed over to the Halloween themed part of the park and the girls all rode a pony and Noah got to drive (ride) a little tractor maze thingy. The kids got to color a mask and go through a (not) haunted house and get some candy. It was a great day spent with great family!! :)

Chuck E Cheese!!!!!!!

Since I have a little kindergartener now we have to support our school! Brie came home with a flyer telling about Chuck E Cheese helping them support her school. A percentage of the sales goes towards things for the kids. Hey, any little bit helps! I thought it would be a nice little family night out anyway :) Brie was so excited and Noah too! I called to ask my sissy if she would like to join us and she, of course, was up for it. I have missed her and the kids a lot lately :( I don't watch either of her girls anymore and she works all week so we only see each other on the weekends. The kids really missed one another too. So, we decided to go ahead and order pizza and eat at my house before going. It was WAY cheaper and nice to let the kids run around outside for a bit while her and I got to gossip :) The kids had a blast and I think even the Dad's like to play a few games themselves! ;) Noah wanted to ride the monster truck as soon as we got there. He was determined to show us he wasn't scared anymore! Well, that lasted all of 10 seconds!! haha....as soon as Tommy tried to walk to the front part of the truck (2 steps away) to get a picture, he lost it!! haha...he started screaming and that much anticipated ride was over :( Poor little guy, he wanted to be brave so bad! He did end up riding it with Makayla but stayed with the little rides mostly. It was a great night with great family!!

It's FALL! :)

We made it out to visit Shaw Farm a couple of weeks ago (I'm a little behind!). We met up with my sister, her family and our friends Courtney and Brandon with their daughter Addy. It was a little chilly in the morning but warmed up pretty quickly through the afternoon.

My favorite things to do at these pumpkin farms is taking pictures and hayrides!! Noah was pretty much glued to Addy and Brie hung out with her cousins (best friends) Makayla and Avery. I got some really cute pics of all them together and it was overall just a perfect start of Fall! Brie was absolutely fascinated with the baby chickens. They had all sorts of farm animals for the kids so see. Their was a horse, donkey, hens, and goats! Poor Noah just wanted to ride a tractor! haha....I guess he remembered last year when they had a big one and let the kids just sit on it. Since starting up this blog thing it will be neat to see how much the kids grow from year to year. :)

After letting the kids run around and play and taking tons of pictures, we went for our hayride!! This year I thought it would be neat to ride the horse hayride instead of the tractor, which we do every year. I didn't get a picutre of all of us on there but it was so nice. We even had the whole hayride just to us! It is smaller than the tractor one so it doesn't hold as many people. It was much slower but the kids loved it and even got to see the horses poop!! HA!

After the hayride we went over to let the kids pick out some small pumpkins and get their faces painted. We tried to get their faces painted when we first got there but (cough, cough Lindsay) we were too early and they weren't open yet. hahah...Noah likes to just paint his hand because "he likes to see it!" Brie got a pretty sparkly spider and he got a pumpkin like Addy. Makayla got the coolest, at least I think, it was a graveyard!! Avery got a bat which was pretty cute too! :) When we got home we got the pumpkins out and the kids started painting! Daddy painted Bailey's for her ;)
